We spent 7 days in the Port Aransas area this spring break. The fishing was great but the catching was a bit slower than expected. We did not get skunked anywhere we went but we did not catch the numbers of fish I expected too. Here are some pictures and highlights' of the trip. Anthony with his largest fish off the yak! It was the second one he caught because the first fell out of his hands while placing it in the yak. It's been a while since the boy has been on his yak.

Here is Anthony's GF Ashley with her biggest fish EVER! 41" BU isn't a bad way too start. WTG Ashley! This one was caught off of Fulton Beach pier around 2:30 in the morning! Right when the moon came up.

My girls on their first REAL kayak fishing trip. Almost a two mile round trip. I had to help the little one about half the way back. The wind kept pushing her off coarse. It was fun.


Here I am with a 40 incher caught of the Fin and feather fishing pier after everyone PUNKED out on me. This fish took allot of line before I realized I had a fish on. I was the only one on the pier and I was preoccupied with all the dink trout I was catching with a DOA shrimp. Andie also caught trout off this pier with a DOA! If the picture looks crooked its because it was taken with the self timer sitting on a piling on the pier. Caught around 3:00 am right before the moon came up.


Here I am with a brute 45-1/2" BU! This one we caught off IPP around 3:30 in the morning. Right before the moon came up. Anyone see a pattern here? We had two pickups but only one was landed. Priscilla lost a fish after a 10 minute battle. You can't land them all.


In all it was a great trip. The weather treated us right after the rain stopped on the first weekend. The sun came out and we had a blast. I want to thank GOD for all the blessing he has given this family!
